There’s a lot of YouTube videos, blog articles, and all manners of forum threads, where the idea that “A.I. will make you rich” is thrown around like confetti. In other times, these would be considered a get-rich-quick-scheme, today they’re seen as hyping tech up.
And I mean, in all fairness, most of these content creators aren’t trying to get you into any “schemes”. They use those big words to get clicks and popularity, and technically, they’re not trying to separate you from your money.
But still, there’s something objectionable about promising that this or that tool (A.I.-based or not) will do 90%+ of the work for you, while you just sit back and relax. Things aren’t all that simple, and currently, the art of using A.I. resides in knowing:
- The potential of A.I.
- The Limits of A.I.
- How to articulate A.I. with a decent workflow.
If that was really the easiest way to get rich online right now, don’t you think they’d be doing that instead of making YouTube videos about how to do it?
Here at UBERZOOMER, I’ve made over 400k (thus far) in digital income online, but ==none of it came easy like these videos make it seem.== I banged my head on the wall more times than I could count, and in the past I also various methods and ideas I’ve read online badly and/or carelessly, leading to wasted time (and sometimes money, as subscriptions to tools aren’t all that free these days).
Today, I’m going to show you a no-bullshit strategy that actually works, to create video with the help of A.I.
No, A.I. will not do everything for you. No, you cannot just sit back and watch the dollars flow in. There’s some work to this, and some thought is necessary to properly articulate the things I am going to mention.
There’s stuff you need to do pertaining to niche research, and editting the content yourself – and there’s things A.I. cannot do (yet) like choosing the best aesthetics for the niche and target demographic you’re targeting.
But when you do implement the things I’ll show here, your productivity and ability to output videos will increase like 5 to 10-fold. And because of that, so will the dollars, sooner or later.
YouTube Shorts
One of my YouTube shorts channels currently generates $370 per week with ~60,000 subscribers. These are not the most impressive numbers in the world, but I started this channel just only ~4 months ago. I did it using my creativity (you can’t escape the human element – yet) AND also with the help of AI, to script and edit my videos.
And now, I’ve turned it into a profitable business. I’ll be discussing how in the next few chapters.
Step 1: Start a Channel about a Topic you’re Passionate about
The first step is a cliché one: Start a YouTube channel about a topic that you’re passionate about already or know a lot about.
For me, this was learning about cognition, brain power and how to optimize it.
I noticed that over the last few years, this type of content had become really popular, with podcasts like Joe Rogan and Andrew Huberman. I also became personally invested on it, as it is that ability to focus and use my creativity to its full potential that allows posts like these to happen without a lot of effort. So I figured I could capitalize.
But don’t worry, if you’re not interested in that, of course you can pick something else that is popular, something like sports, celebrity drama, or even simple quotes.
But whatever topic you do choose, just don’t let it be boring, because you will only make money if people who are interested in that topic actually watch your videos.
Step 2: Generate Content Ideas
Now you’ll have to generate content ideas.
This is where A.I. comes in: I use ChatGPT to come up with a list of content ideas.
Look how great these topics are when I ask ChatGPT to give me a list of content ideas for my next 30 days.
For this example, let’s go with the importance of sleep, which brings us to step three.
Step 3: Write the Scripts (with AI)
And then comes the time to start writing short scripts for each topic.
You can ask ChatGPT to write you a 30 topic script about optimizing cognition or whatever topic yours is for your video.
And boom, just like that: The script is ready to go.
In all honesty though, I’d advise you to pay close attention to the qualities of the text generated by ChatGPT. And – if necessary – put a bit of extra-effort here, and add something fresh and novel to the script. ChatGPT is awfully predictable, and will add only institutional-like information. Not only does it lead to a dry sort of text, but most people are actually looking for insight, not generic one-liners they’ve heard a thousand times before.
Step 4: Create Videos using AI
Now is the moment to start creating content using AI.
Before AI, you really only had two options for creating videos.
- You can either spend hours of your time trying to edit a video yourself
- You could pay somebody tons of money to edit it for you.
But AI has changed the game.
In my opinion, Pictory is the all-around best AI video editing platform in the game right now.
Pictory is like Canva Buffer video, and it literally generates videos for you based on whatever your script says.
❗The A.I. Advantage
If my video is talking about the importance of getting eight hours of sleep, I can just upload the script into PICTURY and it’ll create a voiceover of my choice, populate the video with content that matches the topic, write cool engaging captions and even provide copyright free background. music.
Like I said, Pictory is the real deal and I use it for almost all my projects.
When you’re editing, try not to overthink it because ==the longer you wait, the longer you’re not getting views, and the longer you are not making money.==
One of my shorts channel’s most popular videos with over 3 million views is just about cheating on your partner. It accounts for over 9,000 of my 44,000 subscribers and it literally took me 10 minutes to make from start to finish.
Regardless of what kind of short form content you make, you just want to make sure it has high retention, meaning people will stay and watch the entire video. I achieve this by having a good hook and having some quick edits every few seconds to keep the viewer engaged.
And using AI like ChatGPT and Pictory, this becomes so simple to execute on.
So once you’ve created your first video, it’s time to publish it to YouTube and you’ll start seeing it go viral. I wish it was that easy. My first video got around 30 300 views in the first week.
Step 5: Take Advantage of the YouTube Shorts Algorithm
So this is what leads me to step 5, which is understanding the YouTube shorts algorithm.
Basically, all you need to know is that YouTube shorts is all about consistency. It’s a numbers game.
The more shorts you publish, the more exposure you’ll get. And yes, it’s really that simple. To show you proof, it took my channel exactly 60 days to get monetized.
And in my first 60 days of posting, I posted a total of 63 shorts.
In that timeframe, just two of my shorts contributed to 91% of my total views across my channel. Yeah, those two posts went viral and they both took me less than 15 minutes to create thanks to AI tools.
Step 6: Exercise Patience
Be patient. Don’t compare your day one to someone’s day 100.
It will not only drive you crazy, but you’ll also contemplate quitting. Trust me, I’ve been there.
You need to trust the process in the early stages of your YouTube channel. So if you decide to use this as a source of online income, make a promise to yourself that you’re going to do this for the next 30 days at least, then re-evaluate.
Results will obviously vary a bit. While some channels will start hot, others will catch up over time.
Luckily for you though, you actually have some control over how soon your channel pops off. If you take time to consistently publish videos and try to learn and iterate on every single upload you make, then success is almost guaranteed.
It’s exponential growth. So at the beginning it might not seem like anything, but over time it starts to compound and grow fast. It’s definitely worth taking the time to understand your channel’s analytics and see what’s working and what’s not. Then using that information to create better videos.
Step 7: Don’t fix what is not broken
And this brings me to step six, which is to repeat what is working. After my first show went viral, I analyzed it and noticed that it had way more comments than all my other posts did very quickly.
That told me that my audience was really interested in the topic. So about two weeks later, I posted a sim video on the same topic and was able to repeat the virality.
Step 8: Monetize your YouTube Account
Once you reach the monetization threshold, you can join the YouTube Partner Program and start getting paid. Like I said, for me, this took exactly:
- 60 days
- 1,000 subscribers
- 10 million shorts views
These are the requirements you need if you’re monetizing a YouTube shorts channel.
That might sound like a law, but trust the process and I think you’ll be surprised to learn how easy it is to achieve this. Half the work is just getting started and actually doing it.
99% of people never put in the effort to just get started, so don’t be like them. I know this video went by fast, so please rewatch it and use it as a blueprint while you build your own channel.
